Trimming the Tree...
Turned into trimming the dogs last night. Things got a little "Toddlers and Tiaras". There was a lot of yelling, bribing and dogs being punished for their owners bad behavior. I felt kind of bad for them until I realize how cute they looked.
It almost looks like Roy is crying.
Roy was not having that ish.
Classic Pinterest.
Christmas card material.

Weekend Recap: Thanksgiving
Holy blog break. I am back with some pictures from our Thanksgiving break.
Doug and I split up the holidays with our families.
We started out in Morganton and then headed back to Raleigh for the UNC vs. Duke game.
My sweet little priss pot cousin.
I could not get our Christmas tree fast enough. I am having hard time deciding if I want to go classic...
or fun this year.

Weekend Recap: NYC
We spent the weekend in NYC visiting Doug's brother and his girlfriend. We went to Sleep No More, an interactive play that was based on Macbeth. We got a chance to check out C Wonder the pop up shop that was filled with fun gifts. My favorite part of the trip was all the good food. Of course, I didn't take my camera on our outings, but I got a few pictures before we went out on Friday night.

Happy Birthday to me.
No, it is not my birthday. We have another whole month. I am putting this up just in case Doug reads my blog...hint, hint. I got a new J Crew catalog in the mail today. It is lime green. I marked everything that I like. You can even look on the back of it and get 20% off if you order before November 28th. Just sayin'.

Packing Light
We are going to NYC this weekend to see my brother-in-law and his girlfriend.
I love this little bit of advice from the Travelista on how to pack light for a long weekend.
Cute Camera Straps
I have had this on my wish list for quite sometime.
Canvas Camera Strap, $168 |
My friend Christine introduced me to this Etsy shop. They are super affordable and she even monograms the leather. They come from Hong Kong so you might want to go ahead and order them now if you want it by Christmas.
Walnut Stripe Camera Strap, $28 |

Randoms
I am reading this. It has pretty illustrations and some good advice.
Like this...
Last weekend I went to an estate sale and found fun glasses.
I think if you paint your nails with this you will not be disappointed.
And that is all folks. A little more exciting than one post about wrapping paper. Lame.
Garison is getting married which means I will see you on Monday.

Do you want a ginormous Tacori ring?
Yeah, so do I. That is why I am posting this. 'Cause I get an extra entry in a giveaway for this bad boy.
I am not usually one who jumps through all the hoops to win a giveaway- I mean seriously, I have to do what? Like your facebook, follow you on Twitter, like your mother's brother's daughter's best friend's blog. Too much effort. I had to make an exception. Mara of M loves M is hosting a serious giveaway for a Tacori ring.
This is the only thing that could bring me out of my blog hiatus. You see my favorite friend is getting married this weekend. I have lots to do including- laundry, laundry, and more laundry. Go enter that giveway and if you win I will be sad, but I will get over it.

Hold up...
Kristin Buie pinned this. I died.
Not only is it removable(genius), it is cheap--I am talking $30. Perfect for an apartment or a starter home.
If you have any questions you can read this post with all the details.
